Interpretation and wider context

RECONSTRUCTION. The extract dates the decisive hearing to the afternoon of Monday 5 December 1988 and says BP Properties acted within hours. That is consistent with the Western Mail report of the hearing (N10) and with the demolition in the early hours of 6 December (N11). It names the High Court in Cardiff, where N10 says Cardiff Crown Court. The Wiki records the difference. It may be part of the Echo report headed “Bulldozed Before Breakfast” that a reader’s letter cites (N15-12), but that is not established. 🕒
