1. Plan — month ahead

Build on July’s disclosure-gap work: keep Museum requests separated; interrogate HMLR’s 43-document schedule; broaden TNA search scope; secure archive/deed examinations; open the Wales Office route.

2. Performance — end of month

Both Museum Wales requests were refused as not held and moved into review; the TNA search scope was challenged and expanded; archive deed examination was arranged; and the Wales Office route was opened. Dated entries are in the table below. 🕒

3. Issues, Risks, Concerns

The principal issue was scope integrity: the Museum’s treatment of the site-wide request risked collapsing a broad evidential question into a narrow object search. TNA’s earlier keyword method also became an explicit scrutiny issue. The Wales Office route introduced a potential transfer/provenance question for historic government files.
