Diolch am eich ymholiad. Byddwn yn ceisio ymateb cyn pen 15 diwrnod gwaith, oni bai bod chi wedi dewis ein Gwasanaeth Blaenoriaeth, wedyn byddwn mewn cysylltiad yn fuan gyda manylion pellach a gwybodaeth am dalu am y gwasanaeth. Yn y cyfamser, gallai’r wybodaeth isod fod yn ddefnyddiol i chi: I gael gwybodaeth am safleoedd hanesyddol yng Nghymru a chael manylion am yr hyn sydd yn ein harchifau, ewch i’n cronfa ddata a’n catalog, https://coflein.gov.uk/cy/ Os yn bosibl, rydym yn argymell eich bod yn trefnu apwyntiad i ymweld â’n llyfrgell ac ystafell chwilio<https://cbhc.gov.uk/gwasanaethau/> ein harchif, os hoffech weld deunydd yr archif â’ch llygaid eich hun a thynnu lluniau heb orfod talu amdanynt. Good afternoon, Thank you very much for your enquiry. While we cannot advise you on a legal case or undertake a review of historical decisions, pleas note that we do hold information and archives related to Great House Farm, Llandough. The site entry and description for the site in the National Monuments Record of Wales can be seen online on Coflein, here: https://coflein.gov.uk/en/site/20182. We hold 14 archives related to the site, a list of which can be seen here: https://coflein.gov.uk/en/site/20182/archives?size=25. These archives can be viewed in our Search Room, located in the National Library of Wales, which is open Tuesday through Thursday, 9:30-16:30. If you would like to view the material in person, I would advise arranging with us beforehand so that we can prepare the material ahead of your visit. Some of the material is on microfiche and as we do not have a microfiche reader in the Search Room, we will need to liaise with the National Library Reading Room staff to try to negotiate the use of their machines ahead of your visit. While it is possible to order scans of material using the attached order form, we may be unable to provide research-quality scans or photographs of some of the material, such as the material on microfiche, which would require high-resolution scanning at a cost of £20 per scan. Moreover, many of these records remain under third-party copyright, and we would only be able to provide scans or copies for personal, non-commercial research. Other uses, such as use in a legal case or report would likely require the permission of the copyright holder(s). I would therefore advise arranging to view the material in person rather than ordering scans, if possible. In addition to the information and records which we hold, there are several related records in the Historic Environment Record maintained by Heneb, which related to excavations, mostly concerning the cemetery/burial site: * https://archwilio.org.uk/arch/query/page.php?watprn=GGAT03584s&dbname=ggat&tbname=core * https://archwilio.org.uk/arch/query/page.php?watprn=GGAT03583s&dbname=ggat&tbname=core * https://archwilio.org.uk/arch/query/page.php?watprn=GGAT03586s&dbname=ggat&tbname=core * https://archwilio.org.uk/arch/query/page.php?watprn=GGAT03585s&dbname=ggat&tbname=core Thank you very much again for your enquiry. Good afternoon, Thank you for your enquiry. As noted in my email of 26 November last, while we cannot advise you on a legal case or undertake a review of historical decisions, we do hold information and archives related to Great House Farm, Llandough. However, I have located an electronic copy of Archive Number 6524751, which can be accessed here: https://www.walesher1974.org/her/app/php/herumd.php?group=GGAT&level=3&docid=301361628 While it is possible to order scans of material using the attached order form, we may be unable to provide research-quality scans or photographs of some of the material, such as the material on microfiche, which would require high-resolution scanning at a cost of £20 per scan. Finally, I have confirmed with our Records Manager that we do not hold any correspondence related to the site. Thank you again for your enquiry. To assist my research, I would be grateful if you could provide, for each of the fourteen archive records, any information held regarding: • full archive title; • archive number; • creator or originating body; • accession source; • accession date; • provenance; • date range covered; • physical format (photograph, report, microfiche, survey, map, drawing, etc.); • extent (number of pages, images, sheets, frames, etc.); • descriptive notes not visible on the public catalogue; • related archive references. In addition, I would be grateful if you could confirm whether any of the fourteen archives contain references to: • ownership of Great House Farm; • occupiers or tenants; • the Williams family; • Daniel Thomas; • Bute Estate land transactions; • estate boundaries; • farm buildings before demolition; • archaeological surveys; • BP Properties Ltd; • planning consultations; • oral history; • commemorative tree planting; • historic photographs of the farm and surrounding land. You previously confirmed that RCAHMW does not hold correspondence relating to the site. Could you also confirm whether any related material exists outside the fourteen listed archives, including: • aerial photographs; • survey photographs; • field notebooks; • unpublished reports; • HER-linked records; • transferred archives; • accession files; • provenance files; • curator notes; • associated collections indexed under alternative site names. As part of my research into the history, occupation and documentary record of Great House Farm, I would also be grateful if you could advise whether any archive accession records identify the person, organisation or authority that deposited the material with RCAHMW. Finally, if any material has been transferred to another repository, please identify the repository and any relevant catalogue references. Many thanks for your assistance. Good afternoon, Thank you for your further enquiry. I have checked the accessions information for the archive items which we hold related to the site. Unfortunately, there is no accessions data for the items in the NMR Site File collection. This is because most of the information was either created (in the case of notes and drawing from site visits) or collected (in the case of the newspaper cuttings) by RCAHMW staff in the course of their duties. Having examined the records themselves, however, I do note that Archive Number 6048942 may have come from a Mrs Buckler (‘Mrs Buckler?’ is handwritten under the account). There is also a note at the bottom of Archive Number 6048945 that ‘Correspondence between C.N. Johns and Mrs Buckler, Great House Farm, has been lost since 1986/87’, although I have been unable to find any other record of this correspondence either in our records or our archive catalogue, having carried out both digital and physical searches, including searching through the RCAHMW administrative files in the archive (some of which are not yet open to the public). With regard to the first three records in the list, I include what accessions details are available below: Archive Number creator or originating body accession source accession date 6524751 Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust Donation 20/03/2019 6416853 Cotswold Archaeology Donation 30/05/2014 6500905 Dr Katherine Watson Transferred from Historic England as part of an exchange of material between the two organisations 15/01/2018 With regards to which records mention things like ownership and the dispute, most of the newspaper article clippings naturally discuss it. Archive Number 6048942 provides a short history of the site and notes the family’s residence there and Archive Number 6048945 notes that ‘The house remained partially recorded because of problems created by an ownership dispute. The house and farm buildings were suddenly and completely destroyed by B. P. Properties Ltd. on 6th December 1988 amid considerable local controversy’. If you would like further details about the content of these records, they can be viewed in our Search Room, located in the National Library of Wales, which is open Tuesday through Thursday. Scans of records can also be requested, using the attached order form. We also do offer a limited document summary service. Please see our price list for details. In addition to these 14 records, we may hold some historical aerial photography which may include the site. This would likely include vertical aerial photography taken from a high altitude by the Royal Air Force and/or Ordnance survey from the 1940s to the turn of the 21st century. If you would like to request a search of our historic aerial photography collections, please provide details for your search, such as any location or time-period parameters. Please note that we do charge for these searches. Please see the attached price list for details. Adam, Thanks. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] My grandmother was only Mrs Buckler for a short time, from her marriage in 1935 until she changed her name back to Mrs Williams, as I understand — if she was ever Mrs Buckler at all. Since her Williams name and “Williams Title” (as the courts cite) were important to her ancestral and hereditary land claim. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] And the courts’ and BP’s and land registries’ use of Mrs Buckler as her name, long after it ceased to exist, I believe is at least a mistake. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] I would like to know the procedure where it concerns your department. Or if a note can be made of this on the files where the mistake exists. If it exists. I will be happy to provide her death certificate as Mrs Williams and so forth, if helpful. The other matter is the fact of the 1975 and 1983 conveyance of two titles and merging of two titles. Both were treated as the surrounding farmland and leased and defaulted on the lease of the surrounding farmland. But if it were indeed the case that Mrs Williams had absolute title of her farmhouse and garden, aside from the 999-year lease of surrounding farmland acquired in 1667, then the above conveyances show that her land and home were unlawfully absorbed into the land BP acquired and gained possession of, treating her home and garden as one and the same when they were not. Ownership was never ruled on. BP sought possession and never gained a ruling on ownership. So Mrs Williams and our family’s home and garden and ownership claim and plot appears to not have been extinguished, but instead possession of our home and garden appears to have been taken by force — [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] as if our home and garden were subject to the possession of the surrounding farmland. Confusion caused may stem from BP withholding the fact Mary was challenging their claim of ownership of her land and garden from the land registry in 1983. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] The land registry also appears to have used the invalid Mrs Buckler name from her 1935 marriage, disregarding the name change reversion, to validate the name Mrs Buckler on BP’s licence letters offered in 1974. To which were allegedly not rejected despite Mary going to the papers to expressly reject as per the 1974 article and expressly rejected access in 1975 during the conveyance. The land registry also would have had to depend on the 1974 quashed and earlier adjourned court documents to corroborate BP’s filings, but allege to have not seen or known the land was disputed by Mary Williams and my family, while depending on court documents explicitly detailing that Mary Williams and my family were challenging BP. The 1974 licence letters, wrongly validated retrospectively in 1987, as did the land registry try to validate their actions in 1983 using a ruling 4 years later as their defence. BP lost in 1974. The challenge of ownership could not be ruled on in their favour nor ruled against in Mary’s. Nor did they win possession. The press sided with Mary. The courts to an extent too, saying she couldn’t present title, which isn’t to say it didn’t exist. And we won in the hearts and minds of the 1100+ people who petitioned BP in 1974. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] And lacked validity due to the 1975 conveyance where BP themselves clearly did not leave Mary alone as their own licence terms. Notwithstanding the name was wrong on them. Notwithstanding Mary did explicitly reject them publicly and in the 1975 conveyance. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] And for 38 years we have, all of us, been utterly deceived by headlines saying we were squatters being evicted. Or like in 1987 the judge said Mary Williams “conceived the notion she owned”. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] She still appears to have defeated the attempts to dispossess our family of our home in the early to later half of the 1900’s due to a copy of the paper in the public library. Which in later cases could not be presented as that went missing too. Which in later court cases, despite paper title not being able to be presented, still did not defeat or extinguish our ownership claim due to our long standing. And to this day our ownership claim has not been lawfully or legally extinguished or surrendered or transferred or sold by the inheritor of the Williams Title i.e. Mrs Williams, or her heirs or successors i.e. my late father and now my cousins, 5 aunties, tens of cousins, and brothers and sisters. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] Last month CADW alleged to have nothing to do with this and I had to send them a newspaper clipping explicitly quoting them, with their affiliation to this case. Much of what I collected over the last 2 decades has gone missing. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] Now please, provide me the records you hold on me, my family estate, in trust, and this case. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] I am simply building a chronological timeline of events to try to accurately re-tell this story for family, history/heritage and later legal adjudication and press and media. https://bpvsbuckler.datro.xyz [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] I will be including in each slide and statement in the above website all the supporting evidence. https://wayback.datro.xyz And this is all open source: https://github.com/unclehowell/datro/tree/bpvsbuckler so anyone can submit a pull request with edits suggested. Which is how I would encourage and influence over mistakes I make, to be addressed. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] Our farm was where Peerless Jim, 1906 featherweight champion, had his first fight. Where Marconi invented radio. Where a Roman Villa stands. Where our former [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] 800-year-old former coach/manorial/court/farm house once stood. Where a monastery exists. Where we called our family home since 1667. It’s possible Magnus Maximus might have even been at the Roman Villa on our land. The fact the tree we planted to commemorate our ownership has been removed too, without our claim of ownership being extinguished or defeated. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] No notice or tourist board to commemorate the Roman Villa and Monastery. Or the fact it’s Wales’ largest and most significant burial site ever recorded. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] My intentions here are in good faith. I’m merly working to get the websites up and organise the evidence chronologically. So there’s a centralised archive. And prepare it all for legal adjudication. Try to get a ruling on land ownership as it’s never been ruled on (only possession was). And if a plaque can be erected in Llandough all the better. I would like to arrange guided augmented reality tours of Llandough to our land there. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] Legal reparations for my family is something we seek to pursue, but narrative justice too. This will be expensive. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] Today my younger sister, [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] visited the local library and read me this extract from the Glamorgan Village Book: “Visitors to the farm saw how people lived in the past, how they made their butter, cheese and beer and dried pork, and sent their sheep’s wool to the woollen mill at Lock’s Mill Hill for spinning into yarn. They saw the cheese drying rooms hollowed out of a solid wall and the bedroom where in earlier centuries monks took rest on their travels. Marconi too slept here in a four poster bed whilst working with his experiments in wireless telegraphy between Flat Holm and Lavernock Point.” [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] Of all the departments I’ve spoken to thus far I feel you’re email today has been the most helpful. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] Regards, Sion Buckler Esq. [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] Williams/Buckler Family [quoted text trimmed]

National Monuments Record / FOI Officer, This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and, so far as the records concern the historic environment, the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. I request copies of recorded information held by RCAHMW / the National Monuments Record of Wales relating to a reported discovery of ironwork or “armour” under the rear wing of Great House Farm (Ty Mawr), Llandough, Vale of Glamorgan (approx. ST 1681 7331; SMR / HER GGAT02038s; NMR NPRN associated with Great House Farm). The published citations which identify RCAHMW as the source, and which state that the objects are at the National Museum of Wales, are: 1. RCAHMW, December 1988 — “Unpublished Records relating to Great House Farm prepared by R F Suggett, December 1988.” This is the source cited in the Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust assessment lodged on planning application 89/01396/OUT (and carried into 92/00671/RES): “it is likely that some medieval ironwork which is held by the National Museum of Wales was discovered under the rear wing c 1880 (RCAHMW 1988).” Bibliography: RCAHMW 1988 = Unpublished Records relating to Great House Farm prepared by R F Suggett, December 1988. (GGAT, Land at Great House Farm, Llandough: An Archaeological Assessment, August 1990.) 2. The same statement is repeated in Holbrook & Thomas, “An Early-medieval Monastic Cemetery at Llandough, Glamorgan”, Medieval Archaeology 49 (2005), p. 70 n. 142: “Mention should also be made of the fact that medieval ironwork was discovered under the rear wing of Great House Farm c. 1880. It is now in the collections of the National Museums & Galleries of Wales.” 3. The Heneb / Archwilio HER entry for Great House Farm (GGAT02038s) records armour / medieval ironwork found under the rear-wing floor c.1880 and attributes the note to RCAHMW. Please therefore provide: A. The full text of R F Suggett’s December 1988 unpublished records relating to Great House Farm, including every page or card that mentions ironwork, armour, a visor, a lance, a helmet, a burial, a soldier, a horse, a museum, or a find under the floor or rear wing / dairy. B. Any earlier NMR / RCAHMW survey notes, correspondence or drawings that Suggett was using (including H. J. Thomas’s 1974 survey of the house, updated December 1988), insofar as they mention the c.1880 find or the destination of the objects. C. Any record of the source of Suggett’s statement that the ironwork “is held by the National Museum of Wales” — for example a letter, accession note, conversation record, or museum catalogue reference. D. Any later NMR / Coflein / correspondence file that confirms, corrects or withdraws that museum attribution. E. File references, NPRNs and any copy letters sent to or received from the National Museum of Wales / Amgueddfa Cymru, GGAT, Cadw or the Vale of Glamorgan concerning this find. I am not asking for advice or for a new interpretation. I am asking for the recorded information that underpins the 1988 sentence now cited as fact in the planning file and in Medieval Archaeology. Please supply electronic copies where held. If any item is already published on Coflein, a catalogue link and reference is enough. Regards, Sion Buckler [signature block trimmed]

M17 · 15 Sep 2026 20:21 UTC · Sion Buckler · Catalogue check – ERC RCS2/1/1777 “Great House (Ty Mawr), Bonvilston”
Dear NMR / RCAHMW cataloguing team, Please could you check whether Emergency Recording case RCS2/1/1777 is correctly assigned. The Coflein description reads: Great House (Ty Mawr), Bonvilston – measured drawings, copies of historic maps, photographic material description and location plan received in the course of Emergency Recording case RCS2/1/1777, filed in nprn order. There are two distinct Vale of Glamorgan sites with that name: 1. Ty Mawr / Great House, Bonvilston – still standing, Grade II (Cadw 13603), south side of the A48 opposite St Mary’s Church. 2. Great House Farm, Llandough (near Penarth) – NPRN 20182, ST1681073310, demolished 6 December 1988. RCAHMW already holds NMR Site Files for it (plan with additions dated 12/12/1988; Suggett account; press cuttings). Emergency Recording of measured drawings, historic maps and photographs is the pattern one would expect for the Llandough demolition, not for the surviving Bonvilston house. Adjacent ERC case RCS2/1/1776 is also of that period. Could you confirm from the location plan / map copies / photographs in the RCS2/1/1777 bundle whether the site is Bonvilston (A48 / church opposite) or Llandough (St Dochdwy / farm group)? If it is Llandough, please re-link the file to NPRN 20182. Happy to supply further identifiers if useful. Regards, Sion Buckler

Royal Commission, I am researching the demolition of Great House Farm (Tŷ Mawr), Llandough-juxta-Penarth, in December 1988 (HER reference GGAT02038s / ST 1681 7331). I am seeking to establish whether the Royal Commission was consulted or notified before the farmhouse was demolished. Contemporary reports from 3 December 1988 state that Cadw was considering emergency protection/listing of Great House Farm and that a Cadw inspection was being arranged, including discussion with the Royal Commission for Ancient and Historical Monuments. The farmhouse was then demolished on 6 December 1988. I understand that the statutory framework at the time included provisions concerning the recording of historic buildings before authorised demolition. I would therefore be grateful if you could check your records and confirm: 1. Whether the Royal Commission received any notification, consultation, referral or request for advice concerning Great House Farm before its demolition in December 1988. 2. Whether the Royal Commission was asked to inspect, photograph, record or otherwise document the building before demolition. 3. Whether any correspondence exists between the Royal Commission, Cadw, the local planning authority, BP Properties Ltd, or their representatives concerning the proposed demolition. 4. Whether the Royal Commission was given an opportunity to complete or supplement its earlier recording of the farmhouse before demolition. 5. Whether your records contain any photographs, measured drawings, reports, field notes or other documentation relating specifically to the farmhouse immediately before its demolition. 6. If records exist, I would be grateful for the relevant reference numbers and, where possible, copies. For context, the Royal Commission had already recorded Great House Farm architecturally in 1974. Contemporary material indicates that the building was subsequently under consideration for emergency listing shortly before its destruction. There is also an important chronology concerning the occupation and possession of the property: my late father William Buckler had lodged European Commission of Human Rights application 14464/88 on 3 May 1988; BP obtained possession on 29 November 1988; demolition began on 6 December 1988; and the Strasbourg application was registered on 12 December 1988. I am not asking the Royal Commission to express an opinion on the ownership dispute or the legality of the demolition. I am simply seeking to establish, from your records, whether the Commission was notified or consulted and what opportunity, if any, it was given to record the building (our home since 1667) before it was destroyed? Given the historical and archaeological significance subsequently identified at the site, I would particularly appreciate confirmation of whether any pre-demolition recording was requested or undertaken. Regards , Sion Buckler [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case]

M23 · 28 Sep 2026 21:41 UTC · Sion Buckler · Preservation notice — Great House Farm (Tŷ Mawr), Llandough — do not destroy, transfer or dispose
To each recipient, in your own capacity as holder or likely holder of records. Please do not treat this as a joint reply. Answer only for your own holdings. Sirs/Madam, This is a preservation notice. It is not a claim form and not service of proceedings. It does not replace any FOI, review or subject access request already with you. Land: Great House Farm / Tŷ Mawr, Llandough-juxta-Penarth, adjoining St Dochdwy’s. Titles WA231076, WA240304 (closed), WA513690, WA735527, and any related title. Planning refs 89/01396/OUT and 92/00671/RES. Please preserve, and do not destroy, transfer out of your custody without a written receipt, or dispose of, any file, plan, photograph, tape or electronic record in your possession, custody or control relating to: 1. The 1877 split, the 1916 and 1939 tenancies, and the 1938 Bute to Western Ground Rents conveyance. 2. The 1955 and 1962 possession orders, the 1974 proceedings, and BP Properties Ltd v Buckler [1987] EWCA Civ 2. 3. First registration: WA231076 application 30 November 1982; WA240304 application 23 February 1983; later amalgamation. 4. The 1988 possession (29 November) and demolition (begun 6 December), including listing, planning, police and any liaison papers. 5. Mary Doreen Williams (died 26 March 1983) and William Buckler, so far as your file concerns this land. Also preserve, if you hold them, the following planning and land-charge classes. Absence from a 2026 file disclosure is not proof they never existed: 6. Any section 52 Town and Country Planning Act 1971 agreement, later section 106 instrument, deed, undertaking or other agreement regulating the development or use of this land, and any corresponding local-land-charge entry. 7. The historic planning-register entries required by the Town and Country Planning General Development Order 1988 for 89/01396/OUT and 92/00671/RES (applications, reserved matters, plans and drawings, and decision information). 8. The officer’s report annexes to 89/01396/OUT, including Appendix B (further GGAT comments after discussions with the Trust), and Appendices C–E. 9. The condition chain on 89/01396/OUT: conditions 16–18; the Council’s October 1990 confirmation of condition 17; GGAT’s July 1992 archaeological warning; the September 1992 reserved-matters approval; and the 1993–94 papers on whether condition 18 had been discharged. 10. Any preliminary environmental-assessment / screening determination for the outline application (site described as about 3.4 acres / 1.38 ha). 11. Any record of the statutory consultation route used because the land was, or was treated as, a site of archaeological interest / SMR entry under the 1988 Order. 12. The complete 92/00671/RES file, and any sale, option, conditional-contract or transfer paper on the planning files covering BP Properties to Ideal Homes Wales, including the recorded transfer of 3 December 1993. 13. The application-receipt record for 89/01396/OUT (form dated October 1989; reconstructed Council receipt 8 November 1989). Please stop routine deletion, including archived mailboxes, for anything in that scope. The public evidence index is / . The investigation distinguishes the farmhouse parcel from the eastern fields. The 1987 Court of Appeal decided possession, limitation and the October 1974 letters. It did not decide the documentary root of the farmhouse parcel. These records go to that question. This notice is not a finding against any of you. Please acknowledge, name the officer responsible for the hold, and say what you hold in scope. If you hold nothing, say what you searched. Nothing in this letter abandons any claim concerning title, registration, concealment, limitation, reopening or alteration of the register. Yours faithfully, Sion Buckler [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case] [signature block trimmed]

Annwyl Sion Buckler, Diolch yn fawr am eich ymholiadau o 8, 15, 17 ac 20 Medi. Fel y awgrymir yn eich e-bost o 20 Medi, gwnaf ateb eich ymholiadau gyda’i gilydd. Fel y dwedir yn fy e-byst o 28 Mai , 10 Mehefin, a 11 Mehefin, nid oes unrhyw lythyrau na chofnodion ynglŷn â’r safle hon, sef Fferm Tŷ Mawr, Llandochau Fach, yn ein ffeiliau cofrestredig, sef yr unig gofnodion ymgyrchol rydem eu cadw yn y tymor hir. Nid oes unrhyw gofnodion wedi dod i’r amlwg yn ystod y cyfnod ers hynny. Yn sgil hynny, yr unig wybodaeth sydd gennem ynglŷn â’r safle, gan gynnwys ei dymchwel, yw’r cofnodion yn ein harchif, sef Cofnod Henebion Cenedlaethol Cymru. Gellir gweld rhestr lawn ohonynt yma: https://coflein.gov.uk/en/sites/20182/archives. Ynglŷn ag awyrluniau, oherwydd cymhlethdod y casgliad hwn, byddai rhaid talu ar gyfer y chwiliadau hyn (gwelir y rhestr brisiau, a atodir, ar gyfer manylion). Petasai awyrluniau sydd yn cynnwys y safle yn bodoli, y mae’n debygol y byddent yn awyrluniau fertigol wedi’u tynnu o uchder uchel fel rhan o waith arolwg y tirlun arferol ac nid fyddent yn canolbwyntio ar y safle, na ei ddangos yn fanwl. Ynglŷn â’ch ymholiad ynglŷn â’r arwisg a darganfuwyd yn ystod y bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg hwyr, nid oes sylw arno yn yr adroddiad gan Richard Suggett heb ei chyhoeddi, sef Rhif Archif 6048945 (https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6048945). Gyda llaw, mae rhan fwyaf o’r cofnod hon wedi’i thanysgrifennu fel disgrifiad y safle gan Heneb, GGAT02038s (https://archwilio.org.uk/her/chi3/report/page.php?watprn=GGAT02038s&dbname=ggat&tbname=core&sessid=CHI4nj4fn3q&queryid=Q383581001790598378). Yr wyf yn gynnwys eu disgrifiad isod, wedi’i gwirio er mwyn adlewyrchu y testun gwreiddiol: ‘Great House Farmhouse and barn formed an attractive group, built of local lias limestone, and occupied an historic site next to the parish church. Finds of medieval ironwork and pottery have been reported from the site. Great House was the chief freehold farm of the parish and was occupied by the Vaughan’s, a minor gentry family, from the mid C16 until the latter part of the C18. Several memorial inscriptions relating to the family are preserved in the church and churchyard. In the early C19 the freehold was acquired by the Bute Estate and the manorial courts for Llandough and Leckwith were held in Great House. ‘Externally both farmhouse and barn appeared to be of nineteenth-century date. Internally, however, surviving vernacular detail- a blocked stone fireplace stair and agee-stopped beams- suggested a seventeenth-century date for the house. The ground floor of the house was surveyed in unusual circumstances in 1974 by H.J.T. Much detail was then concealed and it was not possible to examine the first floor and roof trusses. The house remained partially recorded because of problems of access created by an ownership dispute. The house and farm buildings were suddenly and completely demolished by B.P. Properties Ltd. on 6th December 1988 amid considerable local controversy. ‘The plan of Great House was not published in the Inventory of Farmhouses & Cottages because of the incompleteness of the available information but it was classified as a sub-medieval house of direct-entry type (site no. 425). However, certain features suggested that the core of the house may have been medieval. The clearly-defined cross-passage end-chimney plan with masonry partitions and external wall batter (on the unreconstructed N side) had clear affinities with Brynwell, a medieval farmhouse in the neighbouring parish of Leckwith, Brynwell was built as a direct-entry, end-chimney, storeyed pre-Reformation house (Inventory, pp.187, 192). Brynwell, like Great House, was modernised in the C19th by the Bute Estate but the medieval date of the house is clearly shown by a small first-floor cusped-head window and the remodelled roof trusses. Unfortunately it was not possible to examine the fabric of Great House before the demolition of the house. Examination of the rubble brought to light no new features except an ogee-stopped beam with torus, a form of decoration that is not particularly common in Glamorgan (Inventory, Map 50).’ Er hynny, y mae dau gofnod sydd yn cyfeirio at ddarganfod yr arwisg, sef Rhif Archif 6048942 (https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6048942), le y nodir ‘At one time it was reputed to be the stable of a Castle, which could be verified by the finding of the remains of a soldier in armour, his horse, lance and small shield under the dining room floor’, a Rhif Archif 6048944 (https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6048944), sef erthygl o’r Daily Telegraph, 16 Ebrill 1974, le y nodir ‘Its history has never been fully chronicled but a theory that it was originally a coaching house near a Castle was supported by the discovery benieth the dining room floor in about 1870 of the remains of a soldier in armour, his horse, a lance and shield’. Gyda llaw, canys sefydlwyd y CBHC ac Amgueddfa Cymru yn yr ugeinfed ganrif gynnar a darganfuwyd yr arwisg yn y bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg, mae’n annhebyg y byddai’r Comisiwn Brenhinol yn rhan o rodiad yr arfwisg i’r Amgueddfa. Gellir archebu sganiau’r tri chofnod hyn gan ddefnyddio’r ffurflen archebu a atodir. Wrth i ni hepgor ffioedd ar gyfer archebion bychain (llai na pum sgan cyfraniad ymchwil), y mae’n debygol byddai darparir yr archeb hon am ddim. Ynglŷn â’ch ymholiad ynglŷn â’r cofnodion Rhifau Archif 6364275 (https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6364275) a 6364276 (https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6364276), yr wyf wedi ymgynghori’r ddau. Gallaf gadarnhau y mae’r ddau yn berthnasol i’r ddau safle y adnabyddir yn ein catalog archif, sef Tŷ Mawr, Tresimwn, a [removed], Fynwy, ac nid Tŷ Mawr, Llandochau Fach. Ynglŷn â’ch ymholiadau o 11 Mehefin, fel y dwedir uchod, nid oes unrhyw lythyrau na chofnodion ynglŷn â’r safle hon, sef Fferm Tŷ Mawr, Llandochau Fach, yn ein ffeiliau cofrestredig, sef yr unig gofnodion ymgyrchol rydem eu cadw yn y tymor hir. Nid ydy unrhyw gofnodion wedi dod yn amlwg yn ystod y cyfnod ers hynny. Er hynny, y mae’n amlwg bod aelod o’n tîm arolwg, sef Richard Suggett, wedi ymweld â’r safle yn fyr ar ôl ei dymchwel yn fis Rhagfyr 1988 (sef cynnwys y cofnod Rhif Archif 6048945), ond nid chofnodir rheswm yr ymweliad hwn. Ynglŷn â’ch ymholiadau bellach o 20 Medi, fel y dwedir uchod, nid oes unrhyw lythyrau na chofnodion ynglŷn â’r safle hon, sef Fferm Tŷ Mawr, Llandochau Fach, yn ein ffeiliau cofrestredig, sef yr unig gofnodion ymgyrchol rydem eu cadw yn y tymor hir. Canys hynny, nid oes gennem lythyrau na chofnodion ynglŷn â’r llythyrau rhwng ‘C.N. Johns a Mrs Buckler, Great House Farm’, fel y dwedais yn fy e-bost o 10 Mehefin, na unrhyw amgylchiadau eraill ynglŷn â dymchwel y safle. Y mae’r rhifau cofnodion a nodir yn eich e-bost o 20 Medi, sef NA/GL/88/49 a NA/GL/89/208 yn edrych yn debyg at rifau cofnodion derbyniadau. NA/GL/88/49 yw’r rhifyn derbyniad ar gyfer y disgrifiad gan Richard Suggett, sef Rhif Archif 6048945, fel uchod. Yr unig gofnod a dderbynid fel rhan o NA/GL/89/208, ar ôl ein cofnodion, oedd Rhif Archif 6048941 (https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6048941). Gyda llaw, mae’r cofnod hon wedi cael ei gynnwys yn yr adroddiad GGAT ‘Land at Great House Farm, Llandough. An Archaeological Assessment’ (1990), sef Rhif Archif 6524751 (https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6524751). Fel y sefydlir nid oes gennem gofnodion ynglŷn â’r mater hon heblaw am y rhai sydd yn ein harchif, sydd ar gael i’r cyhoedd trwy ein Gwasanaeth Ymholiadau cyhoeddus, mi fydd pob ymholiad pellach ynglŷn â’r mater hon yn cael ei thrin fel ymholiad cyhoeddus. Canys hynny, mae’n bosibl bydd rhaid talu ffioedd ar gyfer ymholiadau cymhleth o’r math hyn yn y dyfodol (gwelir y Rhestr Brisiau, a atodir, ar gyfer manylion). M26 · 30 Sep 2026 00:12 UTC · Sion Buckler · Re: RC26-0375 (gan gynnwys RC26-0353, -0368, a -0371) – Ty Mawr/ Great House, Llandough, Cardiff
Dear Adam, Thank you for your detailed response of 29 September (RC26-0375). It is particularly helpful to have your confirmation that Archive 6048945 records Richard Suggett’s visit to the site after its demolition in December 1988, and for identifying Archives 6048941, 6048942 and 6048944. I have considered your response alongside the Commission’s catalogue entries and the other records now available. Before any of the outstanding September requests are treated as concluded, I need to clarify one distinction. You state (as in your emails of 28 May, 10 June and 11 June) that there are no letters or records concerning Tŷ Mawr Farm, Llandough, in the Commission’s registered files, which you describe as the only campaign records kept in the long term. I note that answer. My requests were not confined to registered campaign files. They concern recorded information held by the Commission relating to the site, including records which your own archive identifies as existing, lost, received or created in connection with it. I am happy for the points below to be answered in whatever order is most convenient, provided the FOIA/EIR status and original dates of the September requests are preserved. Where a point has already been answered in full, a short confirmation that nothing further is held will suffice; I do not wish the Commission to repeat itself. 1. Scope of the search Please confirm whether the search has extended beyond registered files to other relevant NMRW collections and systems, including (where applicable): – Inventory working papers, drafts, record cards and historic index cards; – field and survey notes; – measured drawings, sketches, plans and elevations; – maps and plan collections; – photographic collections, negatives and indexes; – vertical and oblique aerial photography and its indexes; – grey literature and unpublished reports; – special, personal or specialist collections; – background records; – historic administrative records; – digital and legacy catalogue systems; – accession and deposit records; – transfer, withdrawal, de-accession or disposal records; and – uncatalogued or separately catalogued material reasonably capable of containing information about the site. Please also confirm whether the search used the principal known identifiers and variants, including: Great House Farm; Great House; Tŷ Mawr; Ty Mawr Farm; Llandough; Llandochau; Llandough-juxta-Penarth; NPRN 20182; ST 1681 7331; ST16707335; GGAT02038s; Inventory site 425; NA/GL/88/49; NA/GL/89/208; RCS2/1/1777; RCS2/1/1776; 6048941; 6048942; 6048944; 6048945; C.N. Johns; CN Johns; and Mrs Buckler. If any of the categories above were not searched, a simple statement to that effect is sufficient. 2. The lost C.N. Johns / Mrs Buckler correspondence The surviving Suggett record (Archive 6048945) identifies correspondence between C.N. Johns and Mrs Buckler as having been lost from the file since 1986/87. Your response establishes that the correspondence itself cannot now be located. Please therefore confirm whether the Commission has also searched for any residual records about that correspondence, including: – a file cover or wrapper; – enclosure or contents list; – accession or receipt entry; – issue, loan or handling record; – reader-request record; – catalogue or index card; – duplicate copy; – draft, extract or summary; – contemporary note concerning its absence; – later note concerning its loss; – correspondence concerning its loss; – transfer or return record; or – any other record identifying when or how the correspondence ceased to be with the file. If none of those records exists, please say so expressly. The question is no longer simply whether the correspondence survives, but whether the surviving archive contains any documentary trace of its provenance and disappearance. 3. Archive 6048945 Please provide the complete surviving contents of Archive 6048945 (every page, card, continuation sheet, annotation and enclosure). Please also confirm whether 6048945 is a complete standalone record, part of a larger file or collection, an extract separated from a parent record, or linked in any catalogue, accession or administrative system to other records concerning Great House Farm/Tŷ Mawr. You have confirmed that Suggett visited the site after demolition. Please also confirm whether there is any surviving record giving the date or purpose of that visit beyond the description currently catalogued, or any associated site note, field sheet, photograph, sketch or correspondence. 4. NA/GL/88/49 and NA/GL/89/208 Thank you for explaining the relationship between those admission references and Archives 6048945 and 6048941. Please confirm whether the Commission retains any admission register entry, receipt, accession sheet, contents list, file wrapper, box/listing record, catalogue amendment, transfer record or other metadata showing what was originally received under NA/GL/88/49 and NA/GL/89/208. In particular, if 6048941 is the only surviving record received under NA/GL/89/208, please confirm whether that conclusion comes from an original admission record or simply from what is currently visible in the catalogue. 5. RCS2/1/1777 and RCS2/1/1776 I appreciate the clarification concerning Archive Numbers 6364275 and 6364276. The separate question concerning RCS2/1/1777 remains open. Please confirm whether the contents of RCS2/1/1777 have actually been inspected (including location plan, photographs, captions and associated recording material) sufficiently to establish whether the site is Bonvilston or Llandough. If it is Bonvilston, I will record that as resolved. If it is Llandough, please explain whether the catalogue has been or will be corrected or linked to NPRN 20182, and provide the contents and copies requested earlier. Please also confirm whether RCS2/1/1776 has been checked for the same reason. 6. Photographs and aerial photography I note your explanation that searching the aerial collection may involve a charge. Before deciding whether to commission a paid search, please tell me what the Commission’s existing indexes or catalogue systems establish about aerial coverage of the relevant location: – Is there any aerial coverage containing the site? – Is there any vertical or oblique coverage for the relevant period? – Is there any photograph taken during or after the demolition? – Are there catalogue entries for photographs which are no longer held? – Does the Commission have any image connected to NPRN 20182 which is not presently visible on Coflein? This is relevant to Suggett’s statement that there was apparently no photographic record of the site. I would like to distinguish “Suggett could identify no photographic record at the time” from “the Commission has searched its photographic collections and holds no photograph of the site”. A nil return following a defined search of the photographic and aerial indexes would itself be a useful result. 7. The 1974 survey and the ownership dispute Your quotation of Archive 6048945 now establishes (as a matter of the Commission’s own file) that the house remained partially recorded because of problems created by an ownership dispute. That point is therefore settled. Please confirm whether the Commission holds anything beyond the material already visible on Coflein concerning: – H.J. Thomas’s 26 April 1974 survey; – the 1974 site notes; – the 12 December 1988 additions to the plan; – measured drawings; – field notes; – correspondence concerning access; or – any decision about what could or could not be recorded because of the ownership dispute. I am not asking the Commission to adjudicate the ownership dispute. I am seeking only to establish what recording opportunities existed and what records were actually made. (For context, the Commission’s post-demolition addition to the 1974 plan on 12 December 1988 is the only institutional building-recording event identified in the immediate aftermath of the demolition.) 8. Transfers, retention and disposal Please confirm whether any records concerning Great House Farm/Tŷ Mawr were ever transferred to another repository, received from another repository, returned to a depositor, withdrawn, de-accessioned, destroyed, or otherwise removed from the Commission’s custody. Where such an event occurred, please provide the recorded date, description, authority/reference and destination where held. In particular, please confirm whether relevant material was ever transferred to or received from Cadw/Welsh Office/Welsh Government, Glamorgan Archives, The National Archives, Amgueddfa Cymru, GGAT/Heneb or another institution. (I note that the public HER entry GGAT02038s now incorporates material derived from the Commission’s 1988 records; any residual administrative link or transfer record relating to that would be useful.) 9. The nineteenth-century deposit Thank you for identifying Archives 6048942 and 6048944. I am not asking the Commission to endorse the historical account. I would like the provenance of the RCAHMW record established, so far as it can be: – what source was used to create Archive 6048942; – whether that source was contemporary, retrospective or copied from another publication; – whether RCAHMW ever examined the alleged objects itself; – whether any accession, transfer or correspondence record connected the account with Amgueddfa Cymru; and – whether the attribution that material was held by the National Museum of Wales appears elsewhere in the Commission’s records. If the Commission has no such provenance information, please say so. (For completeness, Amgueddfa Cymru has separately stated that it holds no record of such an acquisition; I raise the point only to establish the documentary trail within the Commission’s own holdings.) 10. The demolition sequence Your confirmation that Suggett visited after demolition makes the following question particularly important. Please confirm whether the Commission holds any record of notification of the proposed demolition, notification during the demolition, a request for (or consideration of, or decision not to undertake) emergency recording, a site visit before, during or immediately after demolition, or contact with Cadw, GGAT, the relevant local authority, BP Properties or its agents, or Mrs Buckler or any other family member. I am aware that the Commission may not have been under a statutory duty to receive notice merely because the building was unlisted. I am not assuming otherwise. The question is simply whether any such recorded information exists. The Commission’s own addition to the plan on 12 December 1988 is the only institutional recording event so far identified in the immediate post-demolition period; any residual notes or correspondence from that visit would therefore be of particular value. 11. Search statement Because the principal issue is now the distinction between “not in the registered files” and “not held anywhere by the Commission”, I would be grateful for a short factual search statement identifying: – which physical record series were searched; – which electronic/catalogue systems were searched; – the principal names, site identifiers or reference numbers used; – whether relevant archive staff or custodians were consulted; and – whether any potentially relevant material was excluded because it was uncatalogued, separately indexed, deposited or otherwise outside the registered-file series. A concise factual description is sufficient; I am not asking for an elaborate report. 12. Statutory status Finally, I do not want the distinction between the Commission’s public enquiry/research service and its statutory information-rights function to become blurred. My requests of 8, 15, 17 and 20 September 2026 remain as made. I am content for the Commission to answer them together where that is administratively easier, but I am not withdrawing them or converting them into paid research enquiries. Please therefore confirm: 1. which request or requests your present email is intended to answer; 2. whether each outstanding request remains open; 3. whether your present email is intended to constitute a formal FOIA/EIR response; 4. where you say information is not held, the scope of the search supporting that conclusion; 5. where information is being withheld rather than not held, the relevant statutory basis; and 6. the applicable internal-review procedure and the name/contact details of the officer responsible for information rights. I appreciate the distinction you have drawn between material the Commission currently holds and material which may once have existed. That distinction is precisely why I am trying to establish the documentary chain carefully rather than draw conclusions from gaps in the archive. I am deliberately approaching this as a records-reconstruction exercise. I am not asking the Commission to reach a conclusion about ownership, the legality of the demolition, or the conduct of any person or institution. My aim is to establish what records were created, what survives, what entered or left the Commission’s custody, what was transferred or disposed of, what cannot now be located, and what searches have actually been undertaken. Thank you again for your assistance. I would be grateful if the outstanding September requests could remain open while these points of clarification are addressed. Regards, Sion Buckler [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case]

Dear Sion Buckler, With regards to your email of 30th September, I note that many of the queries which you have set have already been addressed in our previous correspondence. In particular, please note that our searches have been extensive, including searches of any possibly relevant registered files, the only administrative and operational records and materials held in the long term, and the NMRW archive, including both term-based and spatial searches in the archive catalogue, and a manual search for any additional, uncatalogued material. This will be more fully addressed in point 1 as I take your questions in order, below. 1) Our searches have been extensive. This has included searches of any possibly relevant registered files, the only administrative records and materials held in the long term. As I have noted, we do not appear to hold any records or correspondence in these records relating to your enquiries, or to Great House Farm more generally, including the circumstances of its demolition. Our searches have also included full searches of the NMRW archive, including both term-based and spatial searches in the archive catalogue, and a manual search for any additional, uncatalogued material. The term-based searches have included all relevant site names and related terms, as you have enumerated them. These searches have therefore included searches for all of the types of records which you have enumerated, with the exception of our historic aerial photography collections, which searches would incur a charge (see point 6, below). 2) As has been noted in my previous correspondence, no record of this correspondence or allusion to the same is extant in our records, with the exception of the brief note in Archive 6048945. For the scope of our comprehensive searches undertaken to determine this, see point 1, above. 3) Regarding Archive Number 6048945, as I noted in my email of 29 September, if you would like to order a scan of this record, please complete the attached order form. The record comprises one page, front and back, and would therefore require two scans. Please note that we waive fees for small orders of fewer than 5 research-quality scans for personal, non-commercial research. The record is part of our NMR Site Files Collection, for details of which, please see the collection-level entry in our archive catalogue, here: https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6202405. As I further noted in my email of 29 September, there is no surviving record giving the date or purpose of that visit beyond the description currently catalogued, nor any associated site note, field sheet, photograph, sketch or correspondence. 4) Searches of our internal records relating to these accessions numbers have revealed no further information beyond that which is available in the publicly accessible archive catalogue and noted in my email of 29th September. 5) These records have been thoroughly, physically reviewed and it has been determined that they relate to the sites stated in the Archive Catalogue. They do not relate or allude to Great House Farm, Llandough in any way. 6) With regard to aerial photography, as noted in my email of 29 September, a search of our aerial photography collections, including to determine whether there is aerial photography coverage of the site, would incur a charge (see attached price list). As was further noted in my email of 29 September, if any aerial photographs covering the area of the site do exist, these would likely be vertical aerial photography, taken from a high altitude during routine recording of the landscape and would be unlikely to show the site in any detail. There is no further photographic record of the site in our collection. 7) As noted in previous correspondence, the 1974 ‘investigator’s notes for Great House Farm, Llandough, including sketch plan showing periods of construction’ by H. J. Thomas is Archive Number 6048943 (https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6048943). The ‘ink drawing showing plan of Great House Farm, Llandough, showing periods of construction. Scale 1:100. Additions made 12/12/1988’ is Archive Number 6048941 (https://coflein.gov.uk/en/archives/6048941). A scan of the item Archive Number 6048943 can be ordered using the attached order form, while, as noted in my emails of 28 May and 29 September, a copy of Archive Number 6048941 is included in the report available here: https://www.walesher1974.org/her/app/php/herumd.php?group=GGAT&level=3&docid=301361628. As I have noted throughout our correspondence, we do not hold anything beyond the material already visible on Coflein. 8) There is no record of this. 9) We hold no such providence information. 10) As noted in my email of 29 September and in point 3, above, we do not hold any information relating to the circumstances of the December 1988 visit outside of Archive Number 6048945. 11) See point 1, above. Physical searches were undertaken of all relevant Registered Files and key collections, such as the Site Files, which may have contained uncatalogued material. In both cases nothing of any relevance was identified beyond the records enumerated in the online archive catalogue here: https://coflein.gov.uk/en/sites/20182/archives. Comprehensive searches were carried out on both Coflein and Historic Wales, as well as in our internal archive catalogue and details of these searches are noted in point 1, above. All identified archive material has been carefully examined and read by our enquiries staff. All relevant records and archive staff have been consulted. No potentially relevant material has been excluded for any reason. 12) In accordance with the suggestion contained in your email of 20 September, my email of 29 September fully addressed, and was in reply to, all enquiries of 8, 15, 17, and 20 September, and I therefore consider all of these enquiries to have now received a full response. We have established that we hold no internal, administrative, or operational records related to your enquiries, nor any which relate to Great House Farm, and that the only records of any relevance which we hold are publicly accessible records in the National Monuments Record of Wales archives. No information is being withheld. All enquiries therefore relate to publicly available records and should be considered as ‘publicly accessible to the applicant by other means’, namely our public enquiries service: https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2000/36/section/21. M28 · 10 Oct 2026 19:11 UTC · Sion Buckler · RC26-0375 – thank you and three remaining points
Dear National Monuments Record team, Thank you for the consolidated reply of 29 September / 6 October 2026 (RC26-0375) and for confirming that the requests of 8, 15, 17 and 20 September are now treated as fully answered. Three points remain: 1. Please supply the free scans of NMR 6048945, 6048943 and 6048941 as indicated. 2. Confirm whether any accession data, transfer note or provenance record exists for the material held under NPRN 20182 (beyond the statement that none is held in registered files). 3. Confirm whether the emergency-recording case previously catalogued under the wrong place-name (Bonvilston) has now been correctly linked. Yours faithfully, Sion Buckler [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case]
M29 · 10 Oct 2026 19:11 UTC · Sion Buckler · RC26-0375 — order for scans: Archives 6048945, 6048943 and 6048941
Dear Adam / NMR Enquiries team, Thank you for the further response of 6 October 2026 under RC26-0375. I note your position that the requests of 8, 15, 17 and 20 September are treated as fully answered, that searches of registered files and the NMRW archive (including term-based, spatial and manual uncatalogued checks) identified no administrative or operational records beyond the Coflein material for NPRN 20182, and that no information is being withheld. I now wish to order the free research-quality scans you indicated are available for small personal non-commercial orders of fewer than five scans: 1. Archive 6048945 (Suggett post-demolition note — one page, front and back — two scans). 2. Archive 6048943 (H. J. Thomas 1974 investigator notes / sketch plan). 3. Archive 6048941 (ink plan with 12 December 1988 additions), if a standalone scan is available in addition to the copy reproduced in the GGAT 1990 assessment. Please confirm the order form already supplied remains valid, or attach a fresh LES08 form, and confirm the fee waiver applies to this order. I am not reopening the FOI points treated as closed under section 21. Yours faithfully, Sion Buckler [personal passage omitted — not about the farm case]

Dear Adam Coward, Thank you for your detailed further response of 6 October 2026 under RC26-0375. I note the confirmation of the extensive searches undertaken, the nil returns on internal administrative records, the identification of the publicly accessible NMR items, and the offer of fee-waived scans for Archive 6048945. I will review the points against the earlier requests and catalogue the outcome. If any residual clarification is required on a specific item, I will write separately. Dear Sion Buckler, With regard to the three remaining points noted below: 1) If you would like to order scans of these items, please complete and return the attached order form. While I cannot confirm a quote for this order before receiving a completed order form, an order of these three items would likely require four research-quality scans. As per the attached price list, we waive fees for orders requiring fewer than five research-quality scans for personal, non-commercial use. 2) As has been noted, our searches have not been limited to the registered files. No further information related to this is held beyond what is noted in the archive catalogue. 3) As noted in my emails of 29 September and 6 October, the item Archive Number 6364275 from the Emergency Recording Collection has been physically examined and does not relate to Great House Farm, Llandough. As noted (correctly) in the archive catalogue, it relates to Great House, Bonvilston. All the best, Adam Coward NMR Enquiries Ymholiadau Cyhoeddus I Public Enquiries [signature block trimmed] [quoted text trimmed]
