Required fields
- Evidence ID and exact record sought
- Date/event and likely custodian
- Alternative custodian and series/reference
- Original/copy status and request route
- Date requested, search scope, search terms and result
- Reason missing/not held and preservation status
- Dedicated Evidence Library page
- Proposition supported and counter-evidence
- Referral/remedy route, deadline and next action
Control rule
No evidence is treated as complete until its acquisition trail, provenance and catalogue page are recorded. A missing item remains a controlled evidence object, not a blank.
Change history is maintained on the Master Change Log; no separate page-local version footer is maintained.
