Purpose

Prevent confirmation bias and make the case stronger by recording the best evidence against each family proposition.

For each proposition

  • Proposition
  • Strongest supporting evidence
  • Strongest contrary evidence
  • Unresolved conflict
  • What further record would decide it
  • Current confidence
  • Effect on referral, remedy and court readiness

A proposition is not treated as established merely because no contrary record has yet been found.

Recorded counter-findings (16 October 2026)

1. 1939 agreement (DBDT123/7)

The photo on the wiki shows its typed terms: a monthly let at 8s, kept “as meadow or pasture”, signed by John Williams with WGR as landlord [EV-0023]. TNA’s DBDT catalogue files it among small Llandough plot lets, not farm tenancies. It therefore reads as a separate grazing let, not a revised farm tenancy. This undercuts the wiki’s previous “closed” finding and the 1928 last-rent limitation point that treated it as the farm tenancy. Page 1 (parcels and acreage) is not online [EV-0023]. If the family holds it, the reading could change.

2. 1987 third argument

In 1987 William’s own side argued that the farmhouse came under its own May 1975 conveyance [PENDING: EV-0052]. That was his “third argument”. The family’s lawyers therefore knew of the separate conveyance at the time of the 1987 litigation. This weakens any later argument that the 1983 registration could not have been discovered.

DSA/12/5400 warning

Do not use Glamorgan Archives DSA/12/5400 (“transfer of tenancy from J. Williams”). That record relates to Jenkyn Morgan Williams of a different farm [PENDING: EV-0017].

Overall status (16 Oct 2026 research cycles)

No new fraud, concealment or government-involvement evidence that would stand up in court yet. Strongest remaining lead is still the 1983 farmhouse registration certificate (rated 3/5) [PENDING: EV-0063].

For the broader working hypothesis, see Cedwyn Estate Working Theory. This page records the specific counter-evidence and should not be read as proving that wider hypothesis.
